The length of your program determines where the pitch should occur. If you’re doing a presentation of less than two hours, pitch when you’ve got about 10% of your material left to deliver.

If you’re doing a three-hour presentation with a lot of content, you can pitch right before your break which should be scheduled halfway through. If you’re doing a one-day seminar, pitch just before lunch.

The earliest you should ever pitch is half way through an event. This gives you the opportunity to establish credibility with your audience.
