I just had a conversation with someone I had a meal with at the NSA convention in New York City. I suggested that she learn more about producing products and attend one of my events. Very self-serving, I know, but it was the God’s honest truth.

The bigger truth for anyone in the speaking business is that few speakers put an emphasis on products. Most have a book and a CD to hawk, but a real line of products, very few speakers have.

In my opinion this is a BIG mistake. 

The most financially successful speakers have lots of products to sell. They are always creating more, AND they are always trying to figure out the best way to create more info products and market them more effectively.

So, if you don’t want to “worry” about products as a speaker, that’s your choice. To not worry about products is a BAD idea in my opinion. Particularly if you want to make more money.
