High end coaching should DEFINITELY be a part of any info marketers offerings. The reasons are many and varied. Here are a few of them.

1. It can bring you in a bunch of money NOW and a bunch MORE money later.

I’ve seen different coaching models. The good ones ALL based on the idea of compensation based on results. For some people, they require coaching clients to put money up front. Others do not.

The vast majority require SOME money up front and then a “piece of the action” on the back end. In my case I have TWO option for people. One is where people give me strictly a piece of the action. In this case the percentage is higher than the option where they pay some cash up front.

In the second case, money is generated both NOW and LATER. Given my expenses are so low, I don’t PUSH the option that requires money up front.

2. You LEARN While teaching.

I really enjoy what my clients teach ME! I get to learn about a lot of things I would have never known or had an interest in with some of my coaching clients. The best way to learn anything is to teach it.

Given that I market and sell my own info products, I need to keep learning to stay ahead of the game. Having high-end coaching clients makes me stay up on all the latest “tips and techniques.”

3. Building Strong, Lost Lasting Relationships

Although there are a bunch of info marketers who DETEST clients (I’ve heard them say it), I don’t. I really don’t understand how you can run a business with disdain for your clients. I couldn’t do it.

Many of my friends are current or past coaching clients. Although unimportant to some, that is critically important to me. I would have a really hard time working with people I didn’t like.

4. Vested Interest in Their Success

The way that my high end program is structured, I make a LOT more money when my clients succeed. This seems to me to be the ONLY way to do things. People should always get paid for results.

Since my compensation is tied to their results, I am ALWAYS on the look out for ways to help OUR business succeed.

5. Pick and Choose Your Clients

With a coaching program that costs a lot of money, it allows you to be very selective. This makes things infinitely easier. When I wasn’t in a position to pick and choose my clients, I had to deal with people who weren’t quite as SAVORY.

Currently, my program only attracts what seems to be the right KIND of people. Take that fact and add to it that I then SCREEN after the fact and you’ve got a winning combination.

If you are in the business of marketing and selling info products, high-end coaching should be one of the things you SELL.

You will not only increase your income, you’ll get all types of additional benefits as well.

Self Publish Your Own Book

    Great Content once again Fred.

I too have for a long time only worked with people I like. I also ask them only to recommend me to people they know well, like and trust.

Yes, it does cut down the amount of people I get as clients but it also cuts down on the ones I would only ever work with once.

And while the quantity may have been reduced it is certain the quality of my clientèle has increased beyond expectation.

Raising our game like this also sets the tone of any new working relationship too – generally in our favour. People know you’re able to pick and chose and so almost feel privileged to be able to work WITH you. When perhaps they would consider anyone else providing the same service to be working FOR them.

Differentiating oneself in this manner does also mean your higher price will not be questioned and may even be expected.

But with that, comes the responsibility of doing a better job than anyone else too AND putting the clients interest first.

Even if by doing so, it means missing out on ‘a nice little earner’ and maybe having to tell your client not to do something they desperately want to pay you to do.

It may seem to many to be a brave choice to say no to people who want to give you money – but it a choice most of us will find to be profitable over the long term.

Mark, I don’t think I have ANYTHING to add. Well said!

Got something to say?
