Yesterday I was over at a friend’s house for a “potluck” lunch. It was a business event combined with a bit of fun. My friend, Shawn Eifferman, had invited a guy named Richard Kall to come by. Richard has made a BILLION dollars in the network marketing business.
As you all know, I’ve always been skeptical about network marketing. The truth is I never had a problem with the compensation “system” but with the various products that I had always seen associated with that comp system.
I’m now involved myself with a company that uses MLM for compensation. CoolVideoTool.com. Richard is the C.E.O. I would NEVER get involved with any company strictly for the money. If you know me, you know that’s the case. This company just HAPPENS to use a network marketing compensation plan.
I have a meeting scheduled for 10:30AM on Tuesday to meet with Richard again. I’ll be doing an interview with him. I’ve never had the chance/opportunity to do that with a BILLIIONAIRE. Pretty cool. Interesting.
The reason WHY I want to interview Richard (and PERHAPS put a documentary film together about him), is that I’m fascinated about WHAT he’s done and HOW he’s done it.
Richard gave a short speech at Shawn’s house. What amazed me was how he made his money. His “secret” was that he selected less than 50 people to work with. Those people in turn helped him build a business with around 587,000 affiliates. Amazing.
He spoke about recruiting those 50 or so people. How he would spend a LOT of time when he first met them to see if they were the kind of people he’d want to work with.
This struck a chord with me.
I would MUCH RATHER work with a smaller number of people that I REALLY want to work with. This as opposed to putting a whole bunch of people into a pot and seeing what comes out when cooked.
