Another Information Marketing SCAM: Webinar as Infomercial!
Here I go again! As someone who does information marketing as my life’s work, I’m always interested when other people are doing things. In the most recent example, here is what happened. I was friended by a new person on Facebook. I saw they had a webinar about to start later that day. I signed up.
Before signing up, I went to find out more information about the individual. I should have known from some of the people they were associating with that I was going to be disappointed, BUT, I still “attended” the webinar. Up until the point where I realized what it was.
AN INFOMERCIAL! In webinar form.
Talk about how to PISS PEOPLE OFF! Don’t deliver value, just deliver a sales pitch and ask people to buy. We now have yet ANOTHER medium being used to SCAM people into buying something.
Here’s my problem. If you claim you are going to TEACH me something and then spend all your time SELLING me something I’ll be annoyed, REALLY annoyed.
Why? Because you promised me learning and gave me sales. You were DISHONEST with me. You were a LIAR! I don’t like liars. I don’t like giving money to liars. I don’t think LIARS should be rewarded.
If instead you had been honest with me and provided me with some good HOW TO INFORMATION and then AFTERWARDS tried to sell me something, FINE. I would have been interested in hearing your pitch. Instead, you just proved to me, My NEW FRIEND ON FACEBOOK, that you’re a scammer.
You are like so many others who sell information by giving people all fluff and no meat. By trying to tempt us with the sales pitch.
This is another one of those times I WISH my lawyers would give me permission to name names and call people out. But, they say NO! Again. I hate it. And, if you email me directly I will NOT be able to give you the name of the person involved.
BUT, I CAN tell you this. The VAST majority of those selling info products have been schooled by people who find it acceptable to play these games. They are NOT working nearly as well as they used to. AND, the ability of those who promote scams like this will DECREASE dramatically over time.
It is yet another example of how the MORONS in this business are IMPROPERLY training new, up and coming info marketers in the school of INFOMERCIAL as CONTENT.
Do me, yourself and everyone else on the planet a favor. DO NOT BUY from people who promise to deliver content and then ONLY deliver a pitch. Pitching is fine, but prove to me that you are WORTHY, first!
I’m sick of these S.O.B.’s. I don’t think you can tell from this post! LOL
