I was getting concerned about how often I had started to blog. I thought it might not be a good idea to be writing 3 or more blog posts daily. Then I read an article that made me reconsider how I was thinking about things as someone who sells info products for a living.
My feeling is that people come to your blog for two main reasons. Content and fun. If you have a writing style that makes your “stuff” interesting and compelling to read, I think you can blog OFTEN.
If on the other hand you are not a particularly strong writer, I would consider having someone else blog for you or get some guest bloggers to help you out.
In my case, I have found that it’s EASY for me to write massive amounts of content. I couldn’t do it if I were trying to be formal and stodgy. For me, I need to maintain my own style. Some my call that irreverent. Not to worry, be yourself and blog as often as you like!
That’s what I’m doing now. It’s better to not feel constrained about HOW OFTEN I can blog.
As far as a MINIMUM amount, I would say if you’re serious you need to do it 2-3 times a week. Read the article I reference here for more info.
