I feel very badly for anyone who has been hurt by this brutal economy. If you’re in the business of selling information, there are some pluses and minuses to the economic facts. For me, less people are buying products and attending events.
If you haven’t, you need to check it out.
People list what they are willing to do for $5. At first blush you’ll be thinking: RIGHT! Like anyone will do anything of substance for FIVE BUCKS. Then you remember that we’re living in tough times. People are doing a LOT of things for $5 you won’t believe.
Just tonight, I gave 3 people $5 for a few really cool, really worthwhile things. As an example, I had a PDF document I needed “cleaned up”. I found a guy who was willing to take my document and make the changes necessary for $5. I’m sure I’ll lose him for more stuff in the future.
Not only do you get a specific job done, but you get to see how people work. If they do a great job for something at the $5 level, you may move them to a job that might cost $50. And if they do that job well, you jump them up to the next level.
It’s a great place to check out people’s skills and get some REAL work done in the process. But, like with anything, BUYER BEWARE. But, it’s definitely YOUR worth taking a look!
