This 2 day program shows you everything you need to know about starting and building a successful info products business. Nothing is left to chance.
Selling info products can be frustrating. It sometimes takes MONTHS, even YEARS to get to where you want to be. True for me and true for everyone I know. So, what do you do? You have to learn how to imploy a different kind of thinking.
I just got off my elliptical exercise machine. This time I did things a little differently than usual. Most times I get on the machine, note the time on my kitchen oven clock and get going. Depending on how I feel, I do anywhere from a low of 20 to a high of 35 minutes. I try and do this every day but usually end up doing it 4-5 times a week.
While exercising, I ALWAYS watch TV. Tonight, I was watching the US Open Tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Fernando Verdasco. About 7 minutes into the workout, I decided to do something different. I got off the machine and ran over to grab my “Entertainment Book”. For those of you who aren’t familiar, this is the one you buy for around $30 and you get coupons for virtually everything, INCLUDING movie tickets. Worth it for this alone.
I took the coupon book and put it over my display that is on the machine itself. I could check my time by looking over my shoulder at the clock in the kitchen, but I have to crane my neck. Instead, I normally check the display incessantly to see how much time I’ve put in. When I covered the display I promised myself I would not look at the display in the kitchen either.
I didn’t want to have any idea of how much time I was putting in. I just kept watching the match and pushing myself through the paces. The match was pretty good and I just kept going and going. When I finally checked the display, I’d done over 36 minutes. More than I intended.
How does this relate to info marketing? Ready? Here it comes.
There are a number of activities that you can do to make it HIGHLY likely that you’ll succeed in this business. They include: blogging like crazy, writing articles and submitting them, getting highly ranked sites to link to yours, developing both free and paid products that you offer on your site, and a number of other things.
The problem is that MOST people, me included, spend my time constantly “checking the clock” when I do all of these activities. Constantly looking at my PAGE RANK, constantly checking Google to see whether or not I’ve moved up the ladder in my keyword terms. Kinda like the kid who is constantly asking: ARE WE THERE YET??
What YOU (and I) need to do is put the Entertainment Book on the display. Unless you’re just getting started in this business, you KNOW what you have to do to succeed. I’ve listed 80% of the things you MUST do earlier.
Rather than doing these things and CONSTANTLY checking your display, just put your head down and WORK. Write the articles, find the links, create the products, DO all the things you KNOW you have to do. Keep your head down and don’t look up.
Once you get to where you want to go with your business there will CONSTANTLY be someone trying to knock you off your perch. Trying to displace you in the Google rankings. Trying to get more links than you and a higher page rank.
If you want to get to the TOP and stay at the TOP, keep your head down. Keep working. Don’t look at the display!
