Here in the Las Vegas area (Henderson), I use a POSTNET to receive all of my mail. I’ve never even seen the inside of my “official” mailbox. Not even once.
Not long ago, I had a person on my list contact me about the fact that he was coming to Las Vegas. He was interested in getting to see me.
I let him know that I had a site designed for this:

I suggested he go there, PayPal me some money and we could meet. I never heard back from him. I was out of town for a few days and when I came back I swung by Postnet to pick up my mail.
The manager told me that someone came by to see me while I was gone. GUESS WHO?
This is one of the reasons I use a Mail Box Service. I like to control who I see. I don’t like the idea of someone just “dropping by.”
Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy visiting with my customers at events or even coaching and consulting with them in more OFFICIAL settings.
This kind of creeped me out!
I have a good group of friends. Many of whom I have started relationships with when I met them at an event. I don’t feel comfortable with someone who I DON’T know, just showing up. Particularly a person who was presented with the Consult with Fred option, then chose to ignore it, then just showed up.
This doesn’t work for me.
My suggestion for you? Make sure and keep your business life and private life separate. There’s good reason to do so.
