Sloganeering
Whether in a sig file, a FB post or anywhere else, I’m getting ILL reading these riduculous little sayings that people feel compelled to put up.
I’m talking about things like:
“The early bird gets the worm . . . . ”
“Embrace life . . . . ”
If you’re going to put quotes on your Facebook page then try not to select the trite ones that everyone has heard a thousand times.
And even then, I question doing it. What does it prove? That you can go through a book of quotes and pick one out that everyone likes?
That and $2 won’t even get you on the NYC subway any more!
Be a little more creative!
I’m find the same thing to be true with peoples sig files that they use. Use a signature that will get people to DO something, like give you their email address.
