A couple of years ago, I stopped doing a lot of BIG seminars and events. I had gotten disgusted with doing events where I got up and showed people how to create and market their info products and no one did anything.

So I made a change. I adjusted my schedule of seminars and events. I did more smaller events with fewer people. My HOPE was that those who attended would actually be more inclined to take action if they were given more INDIVIDUAL attention and instruction.

I’m sorry to report that I don’t see a lot of change in behavior. I DO think that people generally get more out of smaller events. They have more opportunity to ask questions and to get their individual situation figured out.

BUT, there still seems to be a lack of ACTION taken after the events to put the ideas and concepts into action. Which later becomes MONEY.

I THINK I understand the reason. My concern is that there is very little I can do to CHANGE what I see.

Here’s how I see it. Everywhere you look, people are being told that things happen OVERNIGHT. You can make money in real estate OVERNIGHT. You can trade stocks and make a million . . . . OVERNIGHT. You can buy gold and get rich . . . OVERNIGHT.

So . . . everyone and their brother is programmed to believe that you can make money creating, marketing and selling information products . . . OVERNIGHT.

Over the years, I have been pretty consistent about the absurdity of this argument. Can it happen? Yeah. How often does it happen? VERY infrequently.

The problem is that the vast majority of people have been told that they CAN get rich quick. AND, like I’ve said here before, the only folks getting rich are the people who make this claim and CON people into coming to their events and buying their products.

I want to make more money this year like everyone else.

Rather than look around for the GOLDEN BULLET (or product, or seminar), here is my “formula” for making MORE MONEY in 2010.

First, I need to create MORE products. Mainly taking my existing product lines and EXPANDING them with additional products and titles that are related to the ones that already exist.

My goal is to create a new product EVERY WEEK.

So look for links every week or so from me about these new products.

Second, I’m committed to improving my conversion rates. I’ll be testing a lot of different ideas to get a higher percentage of people to either buy what I offer or opt-in to my list.

Lastly, I’ll be doing a lot more in the area of traffic generation. NOT from some hairbrain scheme where some half-baked guru tells you to spend $2,000 on something that doesn’t work.

No, I’ll be spending my time this year, blogging more, putting up more videos and writing more content for each of my main sites.

Will this take some WORK? Yeah a bit. But heck this is not “REAL” work like some people have to do. Some people have to go to an office every day and report to some idiot boss who doesn’t know which end is up.

I like what I do, so it may appear like work to some but to me, it’s not REALLY work. It’s kind of like deciding to run a marathon. You have to do the training and preparation necessary to do it successfully.
