I’ve been doing my protege program for a while now and I’m finding out what’s working and what’s not. Similar to a relationship, the success seems to be related to the INITIAL selection.

In my case, I haven’t been doing a great job. Here is what I’ve learned.

I realize that for MY protege program I need someone who is:

– NOT thin skinned

I can get VERY direct with people. I will sometimes get a bit heated and raise my voice. Not something I’m proud of, but it’s part of who I am.

I’m much LESS this way now than I used to be. That being said, it takes someone who does not take this kind of thing PERSONALLY to work with me.

Do I raise my voice all the time? NOPE. Do I get upset every once in a while? Yes. Are there some people I work with that I NEVER get upset with? Yes.

It happens sometimes and I always try and figure out WHY. It appears that I tend to do better with people who are fairly TYPE B to my definite TYPE A!

– NOT extremely NOW oriented

If you need to make a lot of money in the next 3 to six months, the protege program is NOT for you.

This program is geared to someone who can WAIT to see BIG results happen. I know that everyone WANTS to get rich quick. Sorry, but you have the wrong guy if that’s what you’re looking for. My system is all geared around a process that takes some time.

BUT, that being said, it IS effective.

If you were willing to go through college and take 4 years to do it, why not be willing to invest 18 to 24 to 36 months to see consistent, predictable results?

This is a more realistic time frame of what can happen with this program.

Two other things they need to be:

– Extremely coachable
– Hard working

Both need no explanation.
