Many people are rightly concerned about the economy. As the owner of three rapidly depreciating pieces of real estate in 3 different cities, I’m in the same boat that you probably are.

The problem is that I can’t control the CLOWNS in Congress. Neither can you.

So, what to do?

I used to think that it was a good idea to make use of the government subsidy to own a home. Not as much these days. I am quickly becoming a fan of the philosophy that Dave Ramsey espouses.

He’s the guy who hosts a popular radio show on finance and recommends that people get debt free as soon as possible.

He starts out by telling everyone to get out from under their consumer debt. After you do that, he tells you to pay off your car. The final step in the process is to get your home mortgage paid off.

I like the idea and only wish I had started down this path years ago.


As an information marketer, I’m not saying that you don’t have to be prudent at this point.

Going back to the most basic formula in the information marketing business:

1. Create Products
2. Drive Traffic to Your Site to Sell Those Products
3. Close People on Buying Your Products

I usually detail 7 steps, but these three are the bare bones basics every information marketer must follow to be successful.

Creating Products doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact, videos are the only products that CAN be a serious expense. BUT, they don’t have to be.

Now is the time to be creating as many GOOD products as you can.

For the next 12-18 months I suggest you concentrate your efforts on audio and written material like ebooks.

Why? Because they are very inexpensive to create AND they can be digitally delivered, costing you NOTHING in fulfillment fees. This assumes that you have a WebMarketingMagic account. If you don’t, now is the time to get one at

I’ve always been a PROLIFIC product producer. I suggest in these times, you should follow my lead. Create as many products as you can. This will help you keep the money coming in during the “tough” months ahead.

Start writing in your field. The more, the better. Start to create reports that you can sell for under $10. If you are super motivated, put together a good outline and start to write an ebook in your field. What topic? Ask your list. They will tell YOU what to concentrate on.

You can and should be doing audios during this time as well. They can be very inexpensive. There are free services like You can use their lines for free AND record the call. After it’s recorded, you can download it and sell it. Either on it’s own or as part of a package of teleseminars you produce.
