I have been training my clients and JV partners to use video to market information for a LONG time. And I love it when other experts echo my suggestions over the years. Here are some video tips from former TV exec, Lou Bortone, now an online branding expert:
“Create an “expert tips” series to share your expertise. Short, 1 – 2 minute ‘how to’ videos are a great way to increase your credibility and expand your influence. You can even record these all in one session, and then post your tips video to YouTube once or twice per week. A tips series provides some consistency and gives you added visibility on the web.”
My JV partners, Bill DeWees and Avish Parashar both have their own YouTube Channels, and I have my own channel, too. We are all using Bortone’s first idea to great advantage in our own info product business.
Here’s another tip from Bortone that I have used on occasion, and I think Bill DeWees uses regularly:
“Get some face time. Use a personal video message or video email to go “face to face” with your clients or prospects. Sending a video greeting, birthday wishes or a thank you video have much more impact than yet another regular email. Video email services like MailVu.com and Eyejot.com make it point and click easy to record your video. If you want to stand out and be memorable, use video!”
Both email services mentioned and linked are free, so cost is no object. If you don’t have a webcam built into your computer, you can send video emails from your smart phone now, too. So, there’s no excuse to get your video info marketing started now!
