If you are selling information products of any kind by mail, we need to talk. I will assume that you either aren’t selling any information online or that you’ve stuck your toe in the water and not done that much. Am I right? If the answer is yes, I’d like to show you how to make the transition. I did it myself many years ago and think I can give you a roadmap that worked for me.
Your first thing to do would be to set up a MAIN site where you’ll be selling your material. This site will be what I call an authority site. Very similar to this one. Feel free to copy what I’ve done here to use as your model of how to do your own information marketing authority website.
After you create that site, you’ll now want to set up individual “mini-sites” for your individual products. This in addition to adding pages that sell that product on your authority site. For example, I sell a program called: “Seminar on Seminars”. I have a separate website that sells JUST that audio program. That’s great, but I would also suggest that you have a separate page on your authority site that sells that product as well.
This is how you begin to make the transition. By transition I’m not suggesting that you abandon the use of direct mail to sell your info products. Quite the opposite. I would encourage you to continue selling products by mail. Even if you are only breaking even I would encourage you to keep at it. There are some people out there whom you may only be able to find OFFLINE. Great if you can get them into your funnel that way.
I am suggesting that anyone who is exclusively using mail is misguided. You need to use both offline AND online means if you intend to dominate your niche market as an info marketer.
So, make the transition, but keep doing what you’re doing as long as it works. And by works, I mean that you aren’t LOSING money selling your information OFFLINE.
